Private Exhibitions & Curatorial Salons

A considered space for encounters with art, interpretation, and meaningful cultural dialogue.

ATTENDANCE BY PERSONAL INVITATION

An Invitation to Encounter

The Walker Art Collection convenes private virtual exhibitions and intimate curatorial salons to encourage sustained engagement with the Rodney Walker Permanent Collection. These gatherings bring together invited cultural, scholarly, and institutional voices for thoughtful encounters with the work.

Private Virtual Exhibitions

Four invitation-only virtual presentations are planned across 2027 and 2028. Each gathering offers a guided encounter with selected works and an opportunity for reflective discussion. Exhibition titles, dates, and access details will be shared directly with invited participants.

MAY 2027   ·   NOVEMBER 2027
MAY 2028   ·   NOVEMBER 2028

Curatorial Salons

Distinct from formal exhibitions, the Collection’s salons are smaller, moderated conversations centered on artistic language, interpretation, cultural memory, and related questions. Participation is individually curated to encourage meaningful exchange.

Invitation & Attendance

Private Exhibitions
Invitations are individual and nontransferable. An invited participant may request consideration for one additional guest whose scholarly, professional, or cultural interests align with the exhibition. Additional guests are admitted only upon approval and receive separate access instructions.

Curatorial Salons

Responding to an Invitation
